Online Security FAQs

At MetLife Bank, we are very concerned with the security of your account. When you open an account, you will receive a user ID and password that will give you secure access to your account. Our secured servers (the computers that hold your account data) are housed behind a network protection system called a "firewall," which uses filtering technology to prevent access by anyone without authorization. Additionally, before your account information travels over the Internet, it is encrypted. This means it is changed into a form of secret code that can only be read by our secured banking servers. For further information, see our Security Policy.

Never reply to an email asking for your account numbers, Social Security number, password or other personal information - or to a request to "update" your information, even if it appears to come from MetLife Bank or another trusted source. MetLife Bank will never send you an email of this kind, so if you do receive one, do not open or reply to it.

You have access to identity theft resolution services through Identity Theft 911® — free of charge — just for being a MetLife Bank deposit customer. Find out more at our Identity Theft 911® site.
